GFS products are designed and manufactured to meet the applicable requirements of various industry-recognized codes and standards.
Please be aware that local requirements may vary from national codes. GFS recommends consulting with your local authority before purchasing paint booths or other finishing equipment.
GFS engineers regularly contribute to the advancement of codes and standards that affect the industries that we work in. Several of our engineers serve on various NFPA Technical Committees responsible for key finishing industry standards.
Overloaded filters compromise spray booth performance, making the paint finish look sloppy and uneven. Dirty filters may also be flammable, jeopardizing the safety of your technicians. Your shop could be in violation of regulations if your filters aren’t clean.
In an extreme scenario, dirty filters could take your booth offline for an extended period. Most shops dedicate a lot of floor space to their paint booth and would face considerable challenges if it suddenly stopped generating revenue.
Three variables determine how often spray booth filters should be changed: process, environment and equipment.
Process refers to how long air flows through the filters. In general, busier shops require more frequent filter changes.
Environment refers to what kind of air your booth filters draw from outside. Shops in particularly dusty areas require more filter changes.
Equipment is what kind of filters you have. Filter lifespan is highly variable between models but remains consistent within a given filter type, meaning you can anticipate when a filter change is necessary.
GFS has a vertical manufacturing process, so we maintain complete control over everything from initial design to fabrication. We also install our products and offer comprehensive service and preventative maintenance programs, allowing us to identify and address any issues quickly and efficiently.
