As we look forward to what 2024 has in store, we pause to look back on 2023. We enjoyed sharing customer stories, assisting you in keeping your shop and employees safe, and highlighting the process of achieving high-quality paint finishes.
In case you missed them, here are our top five blog posts of 2023:
1. Excellence Reimagined: New Auto Refinish Paint Booth From Global Finishing Solutions Introduced to Market
Consolidating years of market feedback and research, Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) is proud to introduce the Edge™ Paint Booth, which provides industry-leading features with an updated, modern design, while being backed by a manufacturer with decades of experience in the automotive refinish industry.
Masterfully designed for today’s collision repair centers and paint shops, the Edge Paint Booth delivers advanced controls; precise, adjustable lighting; and premium contamination control to consistently produce excellent paint finishes and improved throughput. Featuring flush, dual-skin panel construction for a smooth, aesthetically pleasing exterior, and streamlined doors with a sleek, new design and large glass windows, this high-tech booth is sure to be a showpiece in any shop.
2. “I’m still in awe of how clean the cars come out” of the Ultra Paint Booth
Kye Yeung’s customers love their cars — and they drive fancy ones. When their car needs a repair, they want it done right, and they want it back fast. At European Motor Car Works, having dependable, high-performance equipment is a necessity. In Yeung’s latest shop expansion, GFS and Maximum Equipment & Technical Services delivered what he needed to get customers back on the road and keep OEMs happy.
3. Not a Small World: Large Equipment Paint Booth Has Camping World of Madison Thinking Big
Planning to expand their operations to refinish more than their standard fleet of camping vehicles, Camping World of Madison needed a paint booth large enough to accommodate nearly everything on the road and water. A Large Equipment Paint Booth from GFS and Platinum Equipment — measuring 60 feet long and 18 feet high — has been plenty big for the task, enabling Camping World to significantly increase throughput with much-improved contamination control and faster curing times.
4. “All of GFS’ stuff is just stout, very well-built”
When Fox Valley Sandblasting & Powder Coating expanded to a 37,000-square-foot facility in 2020, Mike Schwebke and family wanted equipment that could handle any products that came to their door. A 40-foot-long Batch Powder Oven from GFS has been big enough to outsize their competition and help boost their bottom line.
5. “The GFS oven is going to fully cure thick steel, no matter how much I stack in there”
Looking for equipment for his new powder coating shop, Justin Trepper wanted an oven larger than those of his nearest competitors and one that could cure even the thickest steel. A 26-foot-long Batch Powder Oven — and equally sized Powder Recovery Booth — from GFS have helped JC Powder Coating capitalize on steady revenue from increased commercial work.
