Our continued success — and the reason we remain a leader in the industry — is because of our talented, hardworking employees. We believe that every employee “makes their mark” on a company, and this is especially true for a company of our size and culture. Although a large and growing business — with more than 400 employees — our heart is in the small town, homegrown values. To continue growing our business, we welcome new employees to our family.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Western Wisconsin, the majority of GFS employees work at our headquarters in Osseo, Wisconsin. This picturesque city is conveniently located off I-94 — a short 20-minute drive to Eau Claire and a two-hour drive to Madison, Wisconsin, and the Twin Cities in Minnesota. We are actively involved in our community, participating in events and fundraisers for local causes. We strongly believe in giving back to the community that continues to support us.
Our core values define our company culture and guide every aspect of our business. A low turnover rate — with many of our employees staying with us through retirement — is a testament to the culture we have built and continue to live by.
“I worked on a farm for many years. When the industry took a turn, and I had a baby on the way, I looked for a more stable position. I saw an opening at GFS for a welder and applied. I didn’t have a lot of experience — only minor welding on the farm — but they were willing to give me a chance and train me.”
