This past school year, GFS collaborated with Alma Center and Osseo-Fairchild School Districts in Wisconsin to form a mentorship program to promote careers in manufacturing and welding. GFS sent some of their experienced welders, Tim Urness and Corey Olson, to mentor local students in their Advanced Welding II class, providing them industry skills and experience beyond the traditional classroom.

To celebrate Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, we sat down with Tabitha Raifsnider, daughter of Geoff Raifsnider, a mechanical engineer at Global Finishing Solutions (GFS). Exploring a future in engineering, Tabitha is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, majoring in mechanical engineering.
GFS is committed to assisting our employees in their efforts, as well as contributing to many local causes and organizations. An internal Charitable Donations committee handles distributing educational scholarships, monetary donations and custom-made fire rings for various community events, fundraisers, silent auctions and more.
Project managers at GFS are detail-oriented and organized, with diverse backgrounds ranging from project management and construction to aerospace, injection molding, packaging and quality. They are focused on safety and quality, with an eye for problem solving. Being team-oriented, GFS project managers support each other and have fun along the way.
