Giving back to the community is a value that has been instilled in our company since its inception. To involve our employees in the company’s charitable contributions, we handle all donation requests through an employee-run committee, our Charitable Donations committee. By providing scholarships, monetary donations and custom-made fire rings for community events, fundraisers, silent auctions and more, GFS continuously gives back to our employees, surrounding communities and the people who live in them.
Each year, GFS offers educational scholarships to students to help make college more affordable, as well as many monetary donations to various charitable causes. In 2017, we provided children of employees with scholarships to both two-year and four-year college education funds. GFS also donated funds to various post-prom and post-graduation parties and lock-ins for area schools.

GFS also donated 82 custom-manufactured fire rings to additional programs and various benefits, fundraisers, raffles, silent auctions, golf outings and other events in our surrounding towns, including Augusta, Durand, Eau Claire, Eleva, Fairchild, Fall Creek, La Crosse, Mondovi, Osseo, Strum and Whitehall.
