Global Finishing Solutions® (GFS) hosted a team of auto refinish sales distributors at our headquarters in Osseo, Wisconsin this week for training on products, marketing and sales tools, as well as shop process improvement and other training breakout sessions.
Kicking off the training event on Tuesday, September 12, our distributors were warmly welcomed at Mulroy’s Body Shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota for a tour. Sporting a new Ultra XR booth and REVO Speed, the team at Mulroy’s demonstrated their new, energy-efficient products by curing a paint job in a matter of minutes.
On Wednesday morning, GFS’ new Vice President of Automotive Refinish, Mick Ramis, welcomed the distributors to the Center for Excellence. He shared his passion for the industry, learning about the distributors’ businesses and providing learning opportunities. “We are excited about the future growth of our auto and truck refinish division and to work with our distributors to provide them with the tools needed to ensure their success,” said Ramis. “I look forward to gathering feedback on our products and processes to better support you and set the stage for growth.”
The auto refinish distributors spent the following day in breakout sessions, including sales training, collision center process improvement and company promotion topics. After a full day of training, the distributors were invited to Houligans Steak & Seafood Pub for drinks and a prime rib dinner.
The distributor meeting concluded at the Center for Excellence the following day with training and discussions on REVO Accelerated Curing Systems, shop flow design and layout, AutoCAD LT and product sales. Brandon Lowder, former vice president of automotive refinish at Global Finishing Solutions, closed by thanking the distribution and internal sales teams for making his role at GFS enjoyable. Lowder said “I have enjoyed making both personal and professional relationships over the past seven years, and I hope to see you all continue to succeed in the future.”
