OSSEO, Wis. ā CSN-Sarkis Collision will become the first automotive body shop in Atlantic Canada to have paint booth-integrated REVO Accelerated Curing Systems, the revolutionary short wave electric infrared curing technology from Global Finishing SolutionsĀ® (GFS).
The addition of REVO Systems is part of a major renovation to CSN-Sarkisā 10,000-square-foot shop in Miramichi, New Brunswick, which is scheduled to be complete in the spring of 2019.
New equipment from GFS ā including an UltraĀ® XD Paint Booth, Ultra XR Closed-Top Open-Front (CTOF) Booth with integrated REVO Rapid, and Ultra XD Mix Room ā positions CSN-Sarkis for improved quality and efficiency. In addition, all of their GFS equipment complies with NFPA 33 code requirements for a safe working environment.
The compact REVO Rapid is designed to quickly cure filler and coatings from the inside out for a fast, complete cure that drastically reduces rework. Dual sensors on the REVO Rapid allow technicians to cure two different vehicles or panels at the same time, while maintaining proper temperature. Curing time for both prep and paint processes will be reduced by hours at CSN-Sarkis, enabling their technicians to complete more repairs.
CSN-Sarkis is part of the Collision Solutions Network ā Canadaās largest network of collision repair facilities. The shop has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1975, when the late Nazih Sarkis, a Lebanese immigrant, opened the 2,400-square-foot facility. Since Nazihās passing in 1995, his sons, Allain and Adam Sarkis, have taken over the day-to-day operation of the shop, with their mother, Rose May Sarkis, remaining as the owner.
āThis renovation gives CSN-Sarkis the best technology currently on the market by way of GFS paint booths and REVO Systems,ā Rose May Sarkis said. āPlus, we now have the flexibility to upgrade and grow within the ever-changing auto industry. This ensures CSN-Sarkis is prepared to continue to provide reliable service to customers across Atlantic Canada.ā
The Sarkis brothers, along with their contractor and Robert Milne of Atlantic Air Cleaning Specialists, saw REVO Systems in action when they toured GFSā Center for Excellence in Osseo, Wisconsin, in October 2018. During this visit, they also explored shop layouts and consulted with GFS technical advisors, taking crucial steps to get their project off the ground.
āItās pretty phenomenal what GFS is doing,ā Allain Sarkis said. āItās not just building equipment. Through training with experienced technical advisors, GFS actually helps facilitate the entire process of performing the work. Thatās vital for us to be able to use our new equipment to its maximum potential.ā
