Batch Process Ovens

GFS batch ovens feature a compact design and are manufactured for a range of applications, including drying, curing, baking and preheating. The uni-flow air distribution system circulates heated air on both sides of the oven for a balanced temperature throughout, ensuring your products receive a quality finish.

Batch Burn-Off Ovens

GFS batch burn-off ovens remove baked-on paint from parts, racks, hooks and fixtures safely and efficiently using heat cleaning technology. These ovens reduce labor costs and minimize adverse environmental impacts, while maximizing your facility’s profit potential.

In addition, GFS batch burn-off ovens are designed for integration with batch burn-off washers from GFS. Washers provide secondary clean-up of burned-off parts, racks, hooks and fixtures through overhead and corner nozzles that spray water on items to dislodge loose paint ash from their surface.

Batch Oven FAQs

Industrial batch ovens have applications in several fields, including manufacturing, commercial aviation, woodworking and construction. Industrial ovens are designed for tasks such as curing, drying and preheating everything from tiny parts to full-size vehicles. GFS ovens are also engineered for multiple applications, allowing one piece of equipment to handle different jobs on the shop floor.

Choosing a batch oven begins by considering your facility’s layout and needs. How many projects do you handle per day, and how big are they? Would propane or natural gas work better with your existing infrastructure? How much space can you devote to your oven, and how high are your ceilings? Do you need conveyor systems to transport projects throughout your facility?

Selecting an oven is exciting and a little overwhelming, but GFS can assist you. Contact us to connect with an expert distributor in your area who can help you compare ovens, understand long-term ownership costs and walk you through the ordering and installation process. We have more than 50 years of finishing equipment experience, allowing us to provide industry-specific insights to virtually any facility.

GFS has a vertical manufacturing process that gives us complete control over each aspect of every product. Our in-house engineers design every powder coating oven. The GFS brand name is widely associated with durability and top-notch performance, and we strive to build on that reputation with every product we sell.

Yes. Our in-house design and engineering team includes licensed structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, plus specialists in airflow and code compliance to cover every aspect of oven design and fabrication. Many of our products are comprised of modular, prefabricated components, providing on-site flexibility during installation. If you need a truly custom oven, our team uses advanced technologies such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and 3D modeling to simulate performance before your oven is manufactured. Whether you’re concerned about airflow, temperature or energy efficiency, we’ll get it right the first time.

Our engineers can provide stamped drawings to facilitate permit approval across all 50 U.S. states and Canada. GFS also has experience working with over 20 brands of finishing equipment besides our own, so we can retrofit parts for your existing unit and identify any necessary upgrades.

Yes. Regular maintenance is essential for all finishing equipment. It extends the lifespan of your oven, ensures high-quality finishes and keeps your facility running smoothly.

Our service and preventative maintenance programs are flexible, providing services such as just-in-time filter replacements, quarterly or annual on-site inspections, and replacement components as needed. Our technical support team can arrange emergency service appointments between scheduled maintenance visits, and we always welcome any maintenance questions you might have.

Yes. GFS ovens come with standard safety features, including airflow switches, interlocks and emergency shutdown systems to prevent unsafe operation. Our installers also provide site-specific support, encompassing layout validation, safety zone planning and operator training. A checklist-based process ensures everything is installed safely and according to code.

GFS engineers contribute to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Technical Committee on Finishing Processes, helping to write the standards governing safe oven design. GFS maintains full code compliance with guidelines established by the International Code Council (ICC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) across all product lines, and many of our components undergo additional testing by third parties such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Electrical Testing Labs (ETL).

In short, GFS ovens include standard safety features and are fully compliant with national guidelines. Local regulations may differ from national guidelines, however, so we recommend double-checking the rules in your area before buying an oven or any other finishing equipment.
