Industrial Paint Mix Rooms from Global Finishing Solutions® (GFS) provide a safe, controlled area for mixing paint. Wall panels are fabricated from 18-gauge galvanized or pre-coated white sheet steel, and are pre-punched and companion flanged for easy, on-site, nut-and-bolt assembly. GFS Industrial Paint Mix Rooms contain a convenient, built-in, 4-inch-deep containment base for capturing potential spills.

Safe Air OperationBefore entering the GFS Industrial Paint Mix Room, fresh air flows through high-efficiency filters to remove dirt and dust contaminants. Air flows continuously through the enclosure and into the exhaust plenum, helping to protect personnel from harmful vapors.
Solid ConstructionPre-punched panels with nut-and-bolt assembly take the guesswork out of installing the GFS Industrial Paint Mix Room, in addition to providing more structural integrity.
ETL and ETL-C ListableGFS Industrial Paint Mix Rooms are fully ETL and ETL-C listable to meet all applicable industry safety and performance requirements, and facilitate successful inspections.
Safe Storage Guidelines

The amount of flammable or combustible liquid stored in paint mix rooms must be within the following limits, per NFPA 33:

  • Paint mix rooms within 6 feet of the spray area may contain up to 2 gallons per square foot of enclosure floor area, but the combined quantities of liquids in the spray area and mix room shall not exceed 120 gallons
  • Paint mix rooms farther than 6 feet from the spray area may contain up to 2 gallons per square foot of enclosure floor area, but shall not exceed 300 gallons
  • If more than one paint mix room is installed, the total quantity of liquids shall not exceed the amounts outlined above

  • Reference NFPA 33 and Chapter 24 of the International Fire Code (IFC) for spray applications using flammable and combustible materials
  • Reference NFPA 86 and Chapter 30 of the IFC for curing and drying applications
  • Many components and product lines are ETL and ETL-C listed. The ETL or ETL-C mark is proof of compliance with North American safety standards, including UL, NFPA, OSHA and more
  • A UL or CUL listing verifies that Underwriters Laboratories has tested GFS’ product and determined that it meets their stringent safety and performance requirements
